Leonor Reyes (she/her/ella)

Development Director

Leonor has over 20 years experience building community and creating programs. She brings her creativity and energy to everything, forging new opportunities and connections. She is extremely flexible and adaptable which is showcased in her broad range of skills and roles throughout her career, from program development, youth and family advocate, health educator, fund development, event planning, zumba instructor, grant writer, marketing and community outreach just to name a few.

Leonor is a UC Santa Barbara alumni and began her non-profit journey at Noah’s Anchorage Youth Crisis Shelter working with youth in crisis situations. Leonor was also instrumental in securing a new ‘home’ for the St. George Youth Center, formerly the Isla Vista Teen Center.

Leonor is a lover of all things movement and nature and a proud mama of 3! She is Santa Barbara born with deep roots and family connections in Santa Barbara.

Leonor is passionate about the power of connections, the relationships we forge with those around us and the impact a simple hello, a hug or a listening ear can have on us. She is excited to connect with others and share ALL about the amazing mission of The Starfish Connection!
