How does our partnership work?
To be eligible for a grant, the recipient must be actively receiving services from a partner nonprofit organization. Recipient must be referred to Starfish Connection by a representative of the partnering organization. That representative will then fill out the grant application on their behalf.
How do I determine if the potential recipient is eligible for a Starfish Grant?
Recipient needs a one time, emergent gap grant and not ongoing financial support.
Service needed is not available through other organizations or government agencies.
Recipient must be able to provide proof of need. For example: car repair bill, past due utility bill, tuition statement/books/materials list, burial or cremation invoice so that Starfish Connection can pay the invoice directly to the provider.
